The WildTangent executive team is made up of game industry veterans and pioneers with more than a century of collective experience, including stints at Microsoft, Sony Online, Hasbro, Nintendo, Adobe, and News Corp. We are a privately held corporation and to date have raised more than $50 million in venture-backed financing.

Mike Peronto

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mike Peronto
Mike Peronto joined WildTangent in January 2002 and serves as the company’s president and CEO. Peronto has more than 20 years of experience managing technology companies. Prior to WildTangent, he was vice president of publishing products at Adobe Systems and the chief operating officer at WatchGuard Technologies, Inc., an Internet security firm. Peronto also held the CEO position at Endura Software Corp., a provider of supply chain management software, and at Viathan Corp., a provider of data storage software. He started his career as a marketing representative for IBM. Peronto holds an MBA degree in marketing from the University of Washington and a BA degree from UCLA.

 

Tom Grina

Chief Financial Officer

Tom Grina
Tom Grina joined WildTangent in April 2009 and oversees all of the company’s finance and accounting activities. Grina has more than 25 years of experience in operations, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and raising growth capital for telecommunications, software, and high-tech companies. Prior to joining WildTangent, he was CFO at Digital Railroad, Inc., which created a web-based e-commerce distribution and licensing platform that brought together professional photographers with buyers of digital content. Grina also held the CFO position at Digeo, Inc., Advanced TelCom Group, and several other telecommunications companies. He began his career as a CPA with Peat Marwick in Denver, Colorado. Grina holds a BS degree in accounting from the University of Denver.

 

Matt Shea

Executive Vice President, Product Development

Matt Shea
Matt Shea has been with WildTangent since April 2002 and is responsible for the company’s technology and product development. Shea is the co-creator of WildTangent’s WildCoins digital currency and the WildTangent ORB game console. Prior to WildTangent, he was the games group engineering manager at InfoSpace, Inc., leading development across various platforms and devices. Prior to InfoSpace, Shea held the position of engineering director for games at Go2Net, Inc., overseeing large-scale online game sites including PlaySite, Lycos Games, and Hasbro’s Games.com. He got his start in the games industry at Sony Interactive Studios, working on 3D graphics and massively multiplayer games while earning a BS degree in computer science from the University of California at San Diego.

 

Sean Vanderdasson

Senior Vice President, Games Service

Sean Vanderdasson
Sean Vanderdasson has been with WildTangent since June 2004 and is responsible for the global games service business. Vanderdasson is the co-creator of WildTangent’s patented WildCoins digital currency and the WildTangent Games app. He has more than 15 years of experience in the online retail and entertainment industries. Prior to joining WildTangent, Vanderdasson worked for more than five years at Wizards of the Coast, Inc. (a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc.) as the founder and vice president of eCommerce. In April 2000, he was inducted into the Smithsonian Institute’s Museum of American History in Washington, D.C., for his accomplishments at Wizards of the Coast. Vanderdasson holds an MBA degree with honors from the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and a BS degree in finance law from Portland State University.

 

Danny Cecil

Senior Vice President, Operations

Danny Cecil
Danny Cecil joined WildTangent in September 2001 and currently manages the company’s Internet operations group, as well as corporate IT, quality assurance, ad operations, business intelligence, and customer support. Cecil has over 25 years of experience in the computer industry, including 14 years in product development and information technology at Hewlett-Packard. During his time in product development at HP, he led a team that built the first Windows networking compatible file server for Unix. Cecil later joined HP’s IT group, where he helped develop the company’s global NT domain architecture. Between his time at HP and his work at WildTangent, he managed IT and data center operations for two Seattle-area startup companies. Cecil holds a BS degree in computer science from Colorado State University.

 

Mark Donohue

Senior Vice President, WildTangent Media

Mark Donohue
Mark Donohue is the senior vice president of WildTangent Media, a digital media advertising platform. Donohue is responsible for driving key initiatives across social and mobile gaming, leading the company’s international expansion, and managing a growing team with offices in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Redmond, Los Angeles, Toronto, and London. Prior to WildTangent, he managed advertiser sales for Sony’s digital and gaming properties, including PlayStation, Crackle, Dr. Oz, FEARnet, and Sony Music Network. Donohue previously worked with Atom Entertainment (now part of MTV Networks), USA Networks (now part of Comcast-NBCU), and Tribune Broadcasting. He holds an MBA in marketing from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a BA from Hamilton College.
