WildTangent Expands into Bay Area

We announced today we’ve opened a San Francisco office and have brought on board Benjamin Chen as Director of Audience Development and Strategic Partnerships. The expansion reflects our acceleration of our advertising platform into the growing business of social and mobile games.

Chen joins our Ad Sales team, which currently partners with numerous Bay Area games content companies including Playdom, Crowdstar, Digital Chocolate, iWin, Mochi Media and MindJolt.

Chen will help lead the expansion of our proprietary BrandBoost advertising platform, which enables brands to dynamically engage with game players, providing them sponsored access to virtual goods, game boosts and other premium in game content.

BrandBoost is a real win-win-win: for game players who get improved game play, for game developers who improve monetization and for big brand advertisers who we partner with like Disney, Unilever, Trident, Xbox, etc.

Look for some fun posts soon about great virtual goods game players have earned within social games through BrandBoost.  I mean, who wouldn’t want a virtual Scoop Away kitty litter box for their virtual cat who really needs to “go!”
