weeklytangent_587x239

Hello ‘Tangenter!

I’m sure that many of you have just come into possession of some fun new Android phones and tablets.

And, what’s the point of a phone or tablet? To play games, of course!

(You already have the WildTangent Games App, right?)

And, remember, you can try all of our Android games FREE!

All right – on to the fun stuff. We’ve put together a collection of games that are excellent on Android devices. They’re all fun. Some of these titles will even push your new toy to its limits, if that’s what you’re looking for.

Enjoy!

Top 11* Games For Your New Android Device

*It was going to be Top 10, but I just couldn’t cut one of these – they’re too good.

Care for a virtual family of your own!

Virtual Families 2: SIMULATION

This game consistently sits at the top of our charts. If you enjoy a good sim, this is the game for you. Take care of and watch your little virtual family grow. *NOTE – This is a good one for when you like to play in short bursts on your phone.

DEAD TRIGGER: SHOOTER

This is not as cute as the previous game. Unless you consider blood and undead “cute.” Shoot zombies… lots of them. However, if you want to see how a true shooter performs on your Android device, then you must try this game out. It’s impressive.

A visually stunning zombie FPS!

Could you ever love a monster?

My Singing Monsters: SIMULATION

Aaaaand – back to the cute stuff. This is a fun simulation that will appeal to everyone. It’s a great example of something that’s a little bit different. Your goal is to collect and raise monsters to create a monster symphony. *NOTE – This is a good one for when you like to play in short bursts on your phone.

SoulCraft: ACTION RPG

This is a fantastic example of an action RPG and it’s on Android AND it looks really good on the small screen. If you’re a fan of this genre, don’t pass this game up. Diablo players? I’m talking to you.

Fight against evil demons!

RagingThunder2Android_150x100

Intense street racing in crazy places!

Raging Thunder 2: RACING

Zooooom! This will make you feel like you’re going 100 MPH and all from your little Android device. If you really like cars, you can race cars while riding* in one – ah, the beauty of mobile gaming. *Just make sure you get someone else to drive if you want to participate in a driving extravaganza like this! Safety first, folks.

Sprinkle: ARCADE

Physics is always fun! This arcade game has you putting out raging flames with a fire hose. The movement of the water and trying to get it to go where you want is really entertaining.

A firefighting, physics-based puzzler!

Bundle up and bowl today!

Polar Bowler 1st Frame: SPORTS

Fling a bear sitting on an inner tube from a slingshot at bowling pins. Also, the bear has a penguin butler. No, really. It’s FUN. This is a nicely done bowling game from our very own WildTangent Studios!

Sparkle 2: MATCH 3

Hey there, puzzlers. We have a beautiful, highly polished match 3 game just for you. If you like match 3 games even a teeny, tiny bit, you should download this one right away. Why are you still reading this?

Match orbs and challenge the darkness!

New features just for mobile!

Sally’s Salon Luxury Edition: TIME MANAGEMENT

I have a real weak spot for time management games and this one does everything right. If you’re anything like me, this game will be an instant addiction. It’s that good.

Empress of the Deep II: Song of the Blue Whale HD: HIDDEN OBJECT

This is not a small game, but you’ll be well rewarded for taking the time to get it. Just make sure to download it over Wi-Fi. Hidden object fans – this proves that mobile gaming has some great games for you.

Discover the cloud city’s secrets!

game_list_RecklessRacingHDAndroid

Robbing the bank was the easy part…

Reckless Getaway: RACING

Last, but not least, we have this fine specimen of a racing game. This one’s different from Raging Thunder 2 because the police are on your tail and you have to deal with regular traffic – it’s not your straight up racer. So, if you like to race, but want to put a fun twist on it, then this is the game for you. *NOTE – This game looks extra good on tablets.

It looks like all these games are for the Android OS, as you mention the Wildtangent Games App which isn’t available for the iPad. I even checked each game only to find they all definitely required the Android OS, even Polar Bowler 1st Frame. :(

SoulCraft looked particularly interesting but not enough to go out and by an Android device just to play it.

Another question, I made an in-game purchase in Polar Bowler on my iPad to remove the ads but when I look in my account there is no mention of mobile games “purchased”. Is this because they are maintained elsewhere? I don’t know how the Android OS works for games but the iPad works through the Apple Store, so I could replace it from there … as long as it is still available.

I would much prefer to see ALL games purchased in my Wildtangent account so I can get it from there if I have to. I’ve already had one of my iPad purchases “go away” because the Apple Store no longer carried the App.

Hi Spock – Yup, these are all for Android. However, I’ll let you in on a little iOS secret: Stay tuned for news from the Studios team. :)

As for your second question – any games purchased through the iTunes store (like your Polar Bowler 1st Frame) are handled by Apple. So, that’s why it won’t show up in your WT account – WT is strictly Android and PC.

      I hope that helps!

I understand what you are saying and why it is so but, no, it doesn’t help. :P

I have a tablet and tried to purchase a game and it asked me to verify my pass word and I did but it won’t let me purchase. It just keeps saying to verify my pass word. Can you help with this?
