Weekly Tangent – WildTangent Fansite – A Place For WildTangent Fans

Hello ‘Tangenters!

Warm. Friendly. Community.

That’s what you’ll find at the WildTangent Fansite, a place that’s fan/gamer run and organized by some very familiar faces avatars from the old WildTangent Forums.

For the full experience, make sure to visit the Forum.

This is where you’ll find the meat of the site. Everyone is helpful and polite and all posts are strictly G-Rated. It’s a wonderful, family-friendly slice of the Web.

Spock (the owner and admin supreme) and the other wonderful admins and moderators take member privacy quite seriously. If you want to participate in things like the always-fun Off-Topic board, you’ll have to sign up. (I suggest you do.)

Kitten and welcome mat

If this doesn’t make you want to stop by, I don’t know what will!

  • FATE – WildTangent Fansite arguably has the most comprehensive collection of FATE mods and information in all the Web. If you’re a FATE fan… it’s heaven!
  • Game Reviews – If you’re looking for games, then these reviews (written by players for players) can help you find a gem you’ll really enjoy.
  • Game Help – Can’t find that last piece of the puzzle? Or, need tips on how to pass that next level? Then stop here. You’ll find many questions already answered. Or, you can ask a new one.
  • WildTangent Forum Archives – The community members copied many of the posts from the old WildTangent Forums so that members of the new WildTangent Fansite can refer to this wealth of knowledge.

Members of the old WildTangent Forum, you’ll be right at home. Many of the admins, moderators and members have played WildTangent Games for years!

New players, you’re welcome (and encouraged!) to join the family.

Just remember to thank Spock for all of his hard work and dedication.

Now, go visit! :)

Thanks for the blog post! :)

If we can get more active members in our forum, we can get some of the participation questions worked out as well. Minor things like forum styles, logos, etc.

It might also be good to warn anyone wishing to join our forum to look out for our harder than normal registration process. It’s designed to keep Spammers out but has the unfortunate ability of making it harder for real people to get in as well. Just when you think you’ve successfully registered there is a final step that seems to balk a lot of long time Internet users.

It’s really simple if you just read what is presented to you. 😉

There was a post about the 20th anniversary of local celebrity Kurt Cobain’s passing. I mentioned that Wild Tangent’s office isn’t far from the city where he grew up. Spock thought I should pass this idea on to everyone here if you wanted to do a remembering Kurt Cobain post. Whatever you decide is fine I’m just the messenger. https://wildtangentfansite.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=254&start=25

Thanks for the suggestion, Scott! :) (And, welcome to the WildTangent blog.)

Unfortunately, the link wasn’t working for me.

It seems our “extraordinary measures” to exclude Spammers have cause real potential members a bit of a hard time as well. I have created a special topic that should help.

Hmm, I don’t seem to be able to post a text link, so am going to try just pasting the link below:
