Weekly Tangent – Real Life Sometimes Looks Like A Perfect Game

Hello, ‘Tangenter!

Have you seen the news about this giant hole in Siberia?

Did it strike anyone else that this would be the perfect setting for a game?

Imagine finding the hole and exploring it only to find some kind of ancient secret or cult or living dinosaurs in a forgotten underground world or something! (Yeah, I know that there’s just a bunch of water at the bottom…)

What kind of game do you think it would be?

Adventure? Hidden object? Time management?

Am I the only one who thinks about things like this?

Looks like a volcanic crater to me. It’s a “gas-rich area” so possibly there was an explosion.

Those pictures are epic! I also love the fact that it’s literally at the “End of the World.” What a cool story. I can’t wait to see what the final explanation is.

Looks like the entrance to a giant ant colony to me … (cue creepy music)

That would make a great game plot.

I just realized, this was used in a movie: The Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer!
